The silence is getting spooky.
I’m starting to suspect that everyone in the Sabres organization died weeks ago. (Well, everyone but the web designers, that is.)
We’re all going to show up at the arena on opening night only to find a bunch of skeletons sitting on the bench in full hockey gear, covered in cobwebs. Then, someone will roll out the Darcy Regier skeleton so that he can tell us, “We’re excited about the season. We think we have a strong core group. This season will be an exciting opportunity for some of the younger guys to make the leap from Portland.”
Then, we’ll all turn to look hopefully at the teeny tiny Gerbe skeleton.

Bored, Kate? :P
Yes. Quite.
Hahahaha! Way to paint a picture, Kate. I can see the cobwebs clearly in my mind. Wait. Maybe those are actually my own mind-cobwebs.
:^::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: It’s funny because it’s sad. Heh.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now you’re stuck with a Lindy Ruff skeleton as your coach for life! Heh.
Wait. Maybe those are actually my own mind-cobwebs.
:^::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The web designers died too…the ‘new’ site is just the NHL’s new template, with some graphics *I* could’ve made in a weekend.
The Gerbe skeleton will be inside the Tyler Myers skeleton, starting an urban legend that he ate the little guy.

And upon further investigation, we’ll find the carcass of Sabretooth buried deep in the recesses of HSBC, as the organization had to turn on its own in order to survive the doldrums.
:^:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: To all of you! Thinking about skeleton Sabres is fun! :P
Watch for horses that have been tossed into the parking lot.
i did the same thing with the tumbleweed in a post a few days ago. its all sadly true…
Watch for horses that have been tossed into the parking lot.
Hee! Now I have this image of hockey gear clad skeleton Sabres clamoring to ride the ponies that have magically appeared in the parking lot.
Is it hockey training camp time yet?
Haha, this was a funny post!
I’ve been a lurker (I guess that’s the word), for a little while now. Just wanted to say I enjoy your blog!

HAHAHAHA! If there’s one thing that could reanimate a cobwebbed, skeleton Pommers, it’s the promise of pony rides. :D
:^:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: To the skeleton pony rides!
Thanks for delurking, lulu15213, and thanks for reading TWC!
You know how in the beginning of the year, it takes all the teams a little while to hit their stride and start meshing? Well, by keeping the Sabres identical, Darcy’s trying to make it so they’ll dominate in the beginning two months before the other teams become stable. Then, that success will give the boys the confidence they need to continue winning until they win the Stanley Cup!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Sorry, I tried to say that with a straight face!
