Yay!

After an afternoon spent Twittering about my inexplicable and all-consuming hatred of the movie “Marley and Me,” I’m off to the game tonight. My life is so hard.

I’m in the mood to cheer with an open heart today, which pretty much guarantees that the Sabres will phone it in, but we’ll see.

From the arena

-Hey, Bill Clinton is here! I’m so psyched I wore my blue beret tonight!

– Bill Clinton is wearing an pastel argyle sweater vest. He totally winked at me.

– The Sabres kind of stink tonight, but that Staffy goal helped clear the air a bit.

After the 2nd (3-2, Sabres)

-That was a very satisfying period. I can’t believe how foxy Vanek is now. Our little slag-faced whore is all grown up!

-The Lightning seem very beaten down by life. This game is FAR from over, so I’m not going to feel too bad for them yet, but I do feel a little bad. I’ve always had an unexplainable soft spot for these scrubs. That said, polish them off, boys!

At the end (4-2, Sabre)

I cannot WAIT to hear what Crunchy has to say about the officiating tonight.

I’ll be in 103 row 10 with my son. I hoping to break my winless when in attendance during the regular season streak (knock on wood).

We had the following exchange last night about “Marley And Me” here at stately IPB Manor:

Schnookie: “There isn’t enough money in the world to make me see ‘Marley And Me’.”

Pookie: “Seriously. I might even read the book before I would see the movie.”

Yes, it’s just that bad. :P

So Bill Clinton is buying the Sabres.

I think there is no other explanation for his presence at this game, Janz. He’s buying the Sabres and moving them to Hamilton.

Hamilton? Nah. Bettman would never permit it. Little Rock’s my guess. Now there’s a hockey market. And it’d give Bill something to do for the next four years other than hang around the Department of State bothering Hillary.

I read Marley and Me and loved it. My problem with the movie is that Owen Wilson’s character is a newspaper columnist. When you look at Owen Wilson, he doesn’t have that gravitas that newspaper writers tend to have. That is why I probably won’t see the movie until it hits the video store.
