Patrick Kaleta = Terrifying Scoring Threat

What child is this?

– The Sabres continue to delight.  That game was spunky and fun.

– Watching Patrick Kaleta play hockey this week is like watching your cat cook an omelet.  Awesome on several different levels.

– For the first time all season, I got REALLY nervous during a game.  And you know what?  I listened to the whole thing on the radio.  I tried to watch it on my computer, but the feed looked terrible and it was in French.   Rick Jeanneret is such a gem.  I couldn’t have asked for a better game experience than I got this evening, listening to the radio and puttering around my house.  The bright side of the DirecTV/Versus debacle is that it forced me to remember just how much I love RJ.

RJ is, eff you to all the naysayers, THE BEST in the business – an unabashed homer from an age long gone, who calls the game with more passion than most players have on the ice.

You didn’t miss much with the Versus broadcast. I would have rather had the French feed. I wouldn’t have understood all the Canadien loving then.

Where did they get those Refs? Would have loved to hear RJ describe the head lock that MC had on Vanek when MacArthur scored!!! And they tried to say Vanek was interfering with the goalie! What??

Just because I love the stat (and repeating myself across many blogs)… Hear ye! Hear ye! Kill Kaleta now leads the NHL in short-handed goals!

er… “supposed to be “Killa Kaleta”. I am not advocating his (or anybody’s) death at this time.
