Sure, he’s got the stink of Ovechkin and Mike Green on him, but he’s also got a silent o!
Aond ao dog naomed Haozel!
Welcome to the Saobres, Shaone!
_______
I was getting worried that I was losing interest in the Sabres, but I shouldn’t have worried at all. It turns out that the offseason is just incredibly boring. It takes SO little to keep me interested. All the Sabres had to do was inexplicably wave a respected local boy and then sign a guy with a silent o, and I’m once again, totally intrigued.
Much like a filthy barroom floor, the stench of Ovechkin gets obliterated pretty fast by a healthy dose of Lysol. The Mike Green might be harder to deal with. I don’t know too many things tht can cut through Axe Body spray. Might have to recruit Haozel for that.
Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t mean to be mean. Really, I don’t. I’m a loyal 78-game-a-year Sabres fan. But have they considered, you know, getting anyone who can, um… score?
I know. I know. I know. There are other shoes to drop. But they only scored 2.82 goals per game last year and Miller – who I love – still only put up a 2.22 GAA. That’s not a great margin of error… And Lalime had 2.81 GAA.
They just waived 4% of last season’s goals and picked up a mucking, grinding, shotblocking defenseman who had 12 points (1 goal) last season on the top offensive squad in the league.
Ya can’t win if ya don’t score.
You should add a less than necessary letter to your name and just say that it’s “silent”
Radoran, not that I totally disagree that the Sabres need more scoring, but they were 10th in the league in scoring last season. They’d be fine with the amount of scoring that they already have if they had more character.
At the very least Hazel is adorable.
230 goals is nice, but there hasn’t been a post-lockout Cup winner with less than 250 in the regular season.
The three Finalists with less than 250 all lost.
There were only FOUR teams that scored more than 250 this season, and only one of those won the Cup. If the Sabres need to find more scoring (and I agree, to win the Cup they probably do) it’s easier said than done, because 25 other teams are chasing (and probably overpaying, which the Sabres NEVER do) the same scorers on the FA market. Buffalo is a notoriously difficult draw for free agents, and the team has a reputation for being cheap. So it’s not just a matter of realizing they need more scoring.
Plus, they’re the Sabres. They are conservative in every way. If you’re waiting for the Sabres to behave like the Flyers you are in for a loooooooooong wait, buddy. :P The Sabres aim for “don’t suck”. If they happen to be a contender along the way, they trade for Dainius Zubrus at the deadline and hope for the best.
Your post is on the first page of Google results for Shaone Morrisonn, congratulations. ;)
WOOOOOOOOO! Thanks for the heads up, Tick! I’m sure you agree that infiltrating someone’s google search results is one of the most satisfying rewards a blogger can achieve.
