I love the Pens and the Stars. After a year of being emotionally battered by the Sabres, and then the recent failure of the Habs to quickly and easily defeat my enemies, I am LOVING the juggernauty safety of the Stars and the Pens. I’m not going to lie, all I really want is a good bandwagon. I want to cheer for a winning team. This is all hollow and meaningless without the Sabres, so I might as well just label the best teams “my favorites” and enjoy the ride.
In other news, I wrote a Frequently Asked Questions page which can be found in the top menu bar. I’ve been meaning to write a FAQ page for awhile, putting it off because I thought it would be a big annoying chore, but when push came to shove I really couldn’t think of too much to write about. Perhaps I’ve been overestimating the complexity of the TWC universe. Hee.
Cruncy has an eating disorder? NO! Say it isn’t so!?!
I need to send you tons of jewelry and funny photos now. *to g-mail*
I love the name of this blog. I think “The Willful Caboose” is an excellent name for the Sabres. Because….I think they can! And someday, sigh, they will.

And THAT is what the Playoffs (minus your favorite) team SHOULD be all about! It’s a great feeling, isn’t it? Abandon all the trappings of how you’re supposed to feel as a sophisticated fan during the regular season and then go running through the forest of favorites and superstars and glitzy can’t-misses in nothing but a loin-cloth of bandwagonness.
:^……….
That can mean crying too. In case some people get confused. hehe
I love the name Willful Caboose, though! It’s creative. It’s all about the Sabres!
Thanks for answering all of our burning questions, Katebits!!
But what I really wanted to share it this article:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs2008/news/story?id=3375123
I guess Sean Avery was been hospitalized with cardiac arrest after their loss yesterday…Regardless of what we all think about him, I’m sure we can all agree that he needs some good wishes and prayers right now…
OK, while I admit that I do NOT like Sean Avery’s mean, juvenile hockey antics at times, I don’t actually wish him any serious, life threatening problems, so I will silently send him good wishes. Now who do I joyfully root against?
Now this is why journlaists need to check their sources…ESPN is now reporting that Avery actually suffered a lacerated spleen and was in no life-threatening danger.
He will, however, miss any more games they play in the postseason.
Boy do I love how reporters always jump to the worst conclusions!
On a lighter note…there was a great picture in the sports section of yesterday’s paper. The caption was “Pittsburg’s Kris Letang jokes with goalie Ty Conklin at practice.” It really looks more like Letang is kissing Conklin’s ear and Conklin is smiling. :)
Valerie, I totally saw that picture and it was so cute! That’s another reason I like the Pens…they’re dorky just like our boys =P
I saw that too!
Me to, I saw it too, almost looked like he was threatening Conk.
